Basic Adoption Information
Note: Some of the animals listed for adoption are under our Good Samaritan Pet Center Flyer Program. Flyer Program animals are in search of a new home, but are still living with their current owners. The adoption fees for Flyer Program Animals will be determined by the current owner. Flyer Program animals are highlighted with an asterisk.
All applicants must complete a Good Samaritan Pet Center Adoption application that includes listing two references that the foster parent will contact.
Adopting a Cat
The adoption donation for adult cats is $50.00. The adoption donation for kittens (under nine months old) is $80.00. The adoption donation will be $95 if the kitten has had the second vaccination. The adoption donation includes the basic feline vaccination and the spay/neuter (younger animals will be spayed or neutered at approximately 20 weeks of age) at Harrison Memorial Veterinary Hospital. Kittens will be dewormed and will have received a veterinary examination. All needed medical care is normally provided prior to adoption. Cats will be tested for FIV/felv.

Adopting a Dog
The adoption donation for adult dogs is $90. The adoption donation for senior dogs (7 years of age and older) is $75. The adoption donation for puppies is $125. The adoption donation includes the basic canine vaccination and the spay/neuter (younger animals will be spayed or neutered at approximately 20 weeks of age) at Harrison Memorial Veterinary Hospital. Puppies will be dewormed and will have received a veterinary examination. All needed medical care is normally provided prior to adoption.
