MISSION STATEMENT

Good Samaritan Pet Adoption Center, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit animal rescue organization that provides a “shelter alternative” for homeless animals through the Metro area. We are a network of foster parents who care for these animals until a permanent home can be found.
Our mission is to promote healthy relationships between people and their pets. We strive to prevent animal abuse and abandonment and provide resources and support services to fulfill these goals.

  • We are totally volunteer. All of our members are volunteer. There are no paid employees.
  • We are not supported by taxes. All funding comes from donations from the public, and from fund raising activities. We do not make money from adoption fees. Adoption fees do NOT cover even the cost of advertising the pet, let alone vet care, etc.
  • Because we must raise our own funds to operate we depend upon the Denver Metro community for contributions and for volunteer assistance.
  • We are a non-profit organization, recognized for tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. Our tax-exempt number is 84-1535584. If you are contemplating donating to us you may use this number.
  • We are a shelter alternative. We rescue animals, provide them with necessary medical care and foster them in private homes.
  • We distribute flyers and provide a web service to publicize our animals for adoption.
  • We provide web service and flyer program service for a small donation to those who need to re-home their owned animals.
  • We assist financially with neutering of pets, and we educate pet owners about neutering whenever possible.
  • We educate adults wherever possible about proper care of pets.
  • We provide pet educational programs in day care centers, elementary schools and children’s groups.
  • We conduct fund raising activities to finance our programs.
  • We are a source for information on pet behavior problems, but do not consider ourselves a replacement for a veterinarian.
  • We help animals in any way that we possibly can.
