Missy

(click on a photo to enlarge it)

Missy is a six year old spayed shepherd/sheltie mix. She had a rough beginning to life, but things are going much better for her now. She spent three years of her life tied up to a pole and she could only move about four feet. She would get herself tangled up around the pole and got very frustrated. Some nice ladies rescued her and have been working with her since last September. Missy is a smart dog who has great potential for learning new things. She’d probably love agility or obedience. She really needs to be the only pet in her new home. She is not safe with cats and can be a little testy with other dogs. This should diminish with time, but our ideal home for her would be as the only pet, and perhaps she’d be willing to share space with some aquarium fish. Missy has long, beautiful hair and would need to be brushed out regularly. She loves to go on walks and does well with a gentle leader. She still needs lots of time and patience to learn about the world. She was very isolated in her former surroundings, so needs introduction to being indoors, etc. Missy enjoys people very much and can’t get enough attention. She’s a great car rider too. She has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested and had her teeth cleaned. Missy has a healthy appetite for good quality food and loves to chew on rawhide bones. To find out more about her please contact Beth at 303-333-2291.
